Review
Dean Lewis's 'The Hardest Love' ain't just another sappy collection of love songs, y'all. This album's got some real grit to it, ya feel me? Lewis digs deep into his soul, pullin' out all those messy feelings we try to hide - heartbreak, grief, and all that heavy shit that keeps us up at night.
I gotta say, hearing 'How Do I Say Goodbye' hit me like a ton of bricks. It's about his old man battling cancer, and damn if it didn't make me think of my own pops. That's the thing with Dean - he's got this way of makin' you feel like he's singin' straight to you, even when he's tellin' his own story.
Now, don't go thinkin' this is some depressing snoozefest. Lewis knows how to craft a tune that'll stick in your head and have you hummin' along. He's got that signature sound - you know, those emotional ballads that make you wanna curl up with a bottle of wine and cry your eyes out. But there's hope there too, like in 'Looks Like Me'. It's a love song that'll make you believe in second chances, even if you've been burned before. Trust me, this album's a journey - it'll break your heart and put it back together again. - Ivy
