Review

Christina Perri's 'Head or Heart' really grabbed me from the first listen. I remember putting it on during a long drive, and by the time I reached my destination, I felt like I'd been on an emotional journey. The opening track, 'Trust', hit me right in the gut with its raw honesty. It's the kind of song that makes you reflect on your own experiences with love and trust.

I've got to hand it to Jake Gosling - his production on this album is top-notch. It's got this energetic vibe that perfectly complements Perri's heartfelt lyrics. 'Burning Gold' is a standout for me. It's got this Florence + The Machine-esque quality that had me drumming on my steering wheel. And don't even get me started on 'Be My Forever' - it's so catchy and upbeat, I found myself humming it for days after.

But it's not all upbeat tunes. Perri really shows her range with some darker, more introspective tracks like 'The Words' and 'Butterfly'. These songs hit deep, especially late at night when you're in a reflective mood. The album closer, 'I Believe', left me feeling hopeful and inspired. It's like Perri's saying, "Hey, we've been through some tough stuff together, but we're going to be okay." And isn't that what great music is all about? - Alex
