Review
When I first spun "Que Sigan Llegando Las Pacas" from Chino Pacas, it instantly pulled me in with a bold mix of classic corridos and contemporary twists. Hearing legends like Fuerza Regida and Junior H jump onto tracks, then out of nowhere seeing Drake’s name pop up on “Modo Capone”—that’s a wild combo I honestly didn’t expect! The chemistry works, though, adding extra fire and swagger to the whole vibe. It’s clear Chino didn’t just stick to one formula; every song brings you something a little diferente from the last.
What really surprised me was how intentional and polished the album feels, especially since he picked just 16 songs out of about 50 he’d written. You can tell Chino took his time, making sure every track pulled its own weight, whether it’s the viral banger or a fresh experiment like “Mami Chula.” Even with the shiny production, Chino keeps that core authenticity rooted in corridos, which I love as a mexicana al cien. Seriously, the mixing is clean but never loses that raw feeling you want from this genre.
Chino’s confidence comes through with every lyric and clever delivery, and even though he’s just getting started, you can already hear how much he’s grown since his early days at 16. This album doesn’t lose its bite even as it hits mainstream charts—landing on the Billboard 200 is no small feat! Whether you’re already a fan or just curious about regional mexicano’s next wave, "Que Sigan Llegando Las Pacas" is definitely worth a listen. Chino Pacas is clearly building up for something even bigger in the future. - Sofia
