Review

Cavetown brings plenty of heart to his 2022 album "worm food," blending delicate indie-pop with the comfy feel of bedroom folk. Across 13 tracks, you’ll find him mining the depths of self-reflection, leaning into feelings of vulnerability and sorting through personal struggles. “1994” stands out, shining a light on guilt and nudging listeners toward a little self-compassion, while the rest of the album keeps things honest and relatable.

The mood is mellow and sincere, often wrapped up in soft melodies and down-to-earth storytelling. Tracks like "Fall In Love With A Girl" really pull you into that gentle, open-hearted vibe Cavetown does so well. With "worm food," he manages to create something that feels both soothing and genuine, carving out another memorable chapter in his catalog.- Ethan
