Review

I fell in love with "Razorblade Suitcase" from the first note - there's something about those raw, aggressive tracks that just gets me pumped up and connected. It's like the emotions pour right out of your speakers, you know? The sound is rough and unpolished, almost like you can feel the frustrations and anxieties of the band as they worked on this album, thanks to producer Steve Albini, who's also known for capturing that same raw edge with Nirvana. The similarities to "In Utero" are pretty clear, and that's exactly what I love. These guys aren't afraid to show us their vulnerable side.

Tracks like "Swallowed" and "Bonedriven" are on fire, that intense energy is infectious, while "Straight No Chaser" takes things down a notch with its more mellow vibe. But it's "Personal Holloway" where I really start to feel things, with lyrics that cut straight to the heart - talking about societal expectations and personal struggles is no easy feat. Maybe that's why some critics didn't quite get it, but to me, "Razorblade Suitcase" is a treasure. Despite mixed reviews, it reached number one on the US Billboard 200 - and it's still a go-to for fans who crave that grunge spirit. Trust me, once you dive in, you'll be hooked. It's real, it's honest, and it's a testament to the music of the 90s. - Sienna
