Review
Beartooth's 'Aggressive' is a fucking hurricane of raw emotion and skull-crushing riffs. Released in 2016, this beast of an album doesn't pull any punches. Caleb Shomo's vocals are like a primal scream therapy session set to music - one minute he's tearing his throat apart, the next he's hitting you with these clean melodies that'll stick in your head for days.
The production on this record is tight as hell. Shomo and John Feldmann cooked up a sound that's polished enough for radio but still has enough grit to satisfy the mosh pit maniacs. Tracks like 'Always Dead' and 'Hated' are pure adrenaline shots, while 'Sick of Me' shows these guys can write a hook without going soft.
What really sets 'Aggressive' apart is how honest and personal it feels. Shomo's lyrics are like open wounds - he's not afraid to bleed all over the tracks. It's the kind of shit that makes you feel less alone in your own fucked-up thoughts. This album proves that metalcore can evolve without losing its teeth, and Beartooth are leading the charge. - Nikki
