Review

Crikey, 'Asking Alexandria' came back with a bang on their self-titled ripper! This album's a bloody beauty, mixing up their heavier roots with some fresh melodic flavours. It's like they've taken their old sound, given it a good shake, and come out with something that'll knock your socks off. From the anthemic belters like 'Into the Fire' and 'Rise Up' to the more pop-infused tracks like 'Where Did It Go?', there's something for everyone on this bad boy.

But wait, there's more! The lads weren't afraid to push the envelope a bit, throwing in some surprises like the mellow 'Under Denver' with its techno vibes, and 'Vultures', a stripped-back acoustic number that'll give you goosebumps. And let's not forget 'Empire' - it's got rapped vocals and a full band chorus that'll make your head spin! The critics were all over this one like a rash, giving it a solid 73 out of 100 on Metacritic. Fair dinkum, Asking Alexandria's shown they've still got the goods, and then some!- Hunter
