Review
"AM" by Arctic Monkeys really hits different with its sharp swerve from their earlier rock 'n' roll vibes to something more indie and alternative. This fifth album is like a mixed tape of emotions with tracks that get you up dancing or just chilling and reflecting. The lyrics dive deep into the mess and magic of love, longing, and taking a hard look at oneself.
Kicking off with "Do I Wanna Know?" the album sets a sultry tone that’s perfect for vibing alone or with someone special. Tracks like "R U Mine?" with its pulsing rhythm and sharp lyrics, and "One for the Road," give you that feel of a night out you don’t want to end. On the flip side, you've got your chill tracks like "No. 1 Party Anthem" and "Mad Sounds," which are great for just kicking back and letting the day fade away. And wrapping up with "I Wanna Be Yours," it sends off with a touch of romance that kinda speaks to everyone. Overall, "AM" is a solid mix that shows off just how versatile the Arctic Monkeys can be, pulling in fans of all sorts of sounds. - Aiden
