Review

Listening to Allison Crutchfield's "Tourist in This Town," it's clear to me that this is a breakup album through and through. Crutchfield really establishes herself on this album, her solo debut following her stints with bands Swearin' and P.S. Eliot. The music is indie rock with a potent blend of synthpop that gives it a unique edge. The tracks that truly stood out to me were "Dean's Room," "Sightseeing," and "Secret Lives and Deaths." What captured me the most about this album, though, were the cutting, profoundly honest lyrics. They covered themes of love, nostalgia, and self-acceptance, providing a raw depiction of the emotional landscape of the artist. - Elle
