Alison Goldfrapp is an English musician and producer from London, best known as one half of the electronic duo Goldfrapp, active since the late 1990s. With a sound that combines electronic, synth disco, and pop, Goldfrapp has earned chart success, Grammy nominations, and critical acclaim for albums like Felt Mountain and Supernature. Alison's distinctive soprano vocals, eclectic aesthetics, and interest in both mainstream and experimental work set her apart, and she has also co-written film soundtracks and collaborated with acts like Röyksopp. In 2023, she launched her solo career with The Love Invention, exploring synth disco and partnering with dance producers such as Claptone and Paul Woolford.
