Review

I've been totally swept up in Ado's debut album "Kyougen", which is this incredible blend of J-pop and rock that really showcases her vocal talent. The album's got a great mix of songs that are super energetic and socially aware, like the anthemic "Usseewa" - that song's all about youthful anger and rebellion, and it's amazing to see how it's resonated with so many people. There are also some really emotional ballads on the album that deal with relationship struggles and societal critique, and I think that's part of what makes "Kyougen" so compelling. The album's title, which means "mad words" or "wild speech", is really fitting given the themes of blunt expression and raw emotion that run throughout.

The production on "Kyougen" is also really noteworthy, with Ado collaborating with some prominent producers from the Vocaloid scene to create this innovative sound that's both rootsy and forward-thinking. I love how the album jumps between different styles, from the EDM-inflected "Fireworks" to the swinging groove of "Domestic De Violence" - it's like Ado's not afraid to experiment and try new things, and that's really refreshing. The album's other tracks, like "Readymade", "Odo", "Lucky Bruto", and "Ashura-chan", all have their own unique vibe and mood, and Ado's dynamic vocals really bring the whole thing together. Overall, I think "Kyougen" is a really exciting debut that's all about embracing your emotions and speaking your truth, and I'm so here for it. - Sienna
