Review

Noah Kahan really struck a chord with his third studio album, "Stick Season," which dropped on October 14, 2022. It's like he took his indie pop roots, sprinkled in some deep folk vibes, and produced something that's so heart-achingly raw and reflective. The whole collection is this heartfelt homage to New England, where he hails from, and you can tell he poured every ounce of his pandemic-induced soul-searching into these tunes.

What I love most about "Stick Season" is how it captures that in-between, almost haunting time when the leaves have fallen and the snow is just a whisper away—such a rich image for the transformations we all go through. Kahan's storytelling is pure artistry, especially in tracks like “Northern Attitude.” The critics weren't lying when they said this album is brimming with emotion. And guess what? We got even more to love when "Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever)" came out with seven more songs on June 9, 2023. Whether you're from New England or not, Kahan's journey of change and self-discovery is bound to resonate with you—it certainly did with me. - Ava
